Junior Pairs Changes 2021

The Junior Pairs Championship offers a great opportunity for our young bowlers to play with fellow youngsters from other clubs within their county. Entry is open to all youngsters who are under 25 on 1st April 2021. Players do not need to belong to the same club as their partner.

From 2021, the Junior Pairs Championship will become three bowls per player, 18 ends, as a result of the feedback received from the younger players that responded to our recent participation survey. This revision offers an excellent opportunity for our younger bowlers to enjoy the same format as played at the Commonwealth Games and World Championships, as we look to build the pathway for young bowlers to High Performance level.

The Junior Pairs Championship is played in a knockout format within each county, with the county champions progressing to the National Finals, held at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa next summer:

  • Men’s Junior Pairs (Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th August 2021)

  • Women’s Junior Pairs (Saturday 21st and Sunday 24th August 2021)

If you are interested in entering this Championship event, please contact your Club Secretary for further details.
